Responsible Gambling: Support and Tools
Gambling can affect people differently, and this page sets out the tools and organisations available if you want to keep control of your play or step back from it. This site does not process deposits, withdrawals or wagers itself, so any limit you set has to be applied directly with the operator you use, through their account settings or customer support.
Most licensed operators let you set deposit limits, loss limits or session time limits before you start playing, and lower those limits immediately, though raising them typically involves a cooling-off period. If you want to stop entirely, self-exclusion removes your ability to log in or open a new account for a period you choose, and closing an account is different from self-exclusion, so ask the operator which one you are requesting.
GAMSTOP is the UK's self-exclusion scheme covering online gambling companies licensed by the Gambling Commission. Registering with GAMSTOP blocks new accounts and marketing from participating operators, but it works alongside, not instead of, any limits you set directly with an individual site.
Free, independent support is available from organisations including GamCare, the National Gambling Helpline, GambleAware and Gamblers Anonymous, whether you are worried about your own play or someone else's. These services are separate from any operator or from this site, and contacting them does not require you to have an account anywhere.
None of the operators listed on this site are reviewed, scored or recommended for their responsible-gambling tools specifically; where we have checked whether an operator supports limits or self-exclusion, that is noted against the operator rather than assumed. Gambling is entertainment, not a way to make money or resolve financial difficulty, and it should only ever be done with money you can afford to lose.
